Miss. Kassandra Kashian, Australia-Missgrand International 2017
I am a 22-year-old half Armenian, a half Australian living in Sydney, New South Wales. I am truly passionate about makeup and beauty and have my own beauty channel on YouTube entitled ‘Keeping up with Kassandra Kashian’. I enjoy using my marketing and business university qualifications to promote my Youtube beauty channel and hope my videos empower women to feel beautiful in their own skin. Social media is often criticized for being unrealistic, “filtered” representation of someone’s life. My beauty blog aims to keep it real and give young women a positive role model to look up to. I absolutely love animals and have two mini Maltese X toy poodle dogs who are brothers, their names are Coconut and Honey. I am hoping to get a kitten soon. Growing up in Australia I have always loved the beach and sunshine. I enjoy spending my weekends down at Bondi Beach swimming, doing yoga and walking along the coastal track.
About ‘Stop The War and Violence’ campaign :
When I look at the state of our world today I feel heart broken. Every day we learn about more chaos and destruction occurring and find out beautiful and innocent lives have been lost. It devastates me to think that attacks and violence are occurring so often it’s beginning to be expected and ‘normal’. I dream of a time where this isn’t the reality we face and where everyone can feel safe and protected. I think of the innocent, helpless victims of war and violence daily and try to imagine the brutality they face. I think of my father who escaped a time of war in his country and was given a second chance. If he wasn’t given this chance I wouldn’t be here today. I feel it is my purpose help those who deserve their second chance. It is embedded in who I am. The world needs someone to stand up and hold the torch of peace. The world needs someone to speak up and fight for the fallen. I, Kassandra Kashian, stand for the betterment of mankind. As Miss Grand Australia the ‘Stop the War and Violence’ campaign means taking a stand to rid the world of violence in the home, community and beyond. Peace is the way forward. We are the way forward.
