Why Ministry of National Defense is a better team than Boeung Ket

Ministry of National Defense FC reach the 2017 Metfone Cambodian League play-off finals, where they will face awaiting Boeung Ket FC at the National Olympic Stadium on December 30th, 2017.

The Orange Armies, who sat in the fourth place after the regular league season, booked a place in the league play-off before downing Nagaworld FC 4-3 on penalty shootouts in the league play-off first round and defeating Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng FC 3-1 in the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, the defending champions finished at the top of the pile in the MCL table and have earned a spot in the league play-off finals.

With the Orange Armies in a fine form in their recent matches, they are likely a better team than Boeung Ket FC and are the favourite to clinch the league title this season.

The Orange Armies have proven everyone wrong after defeating Nagaworld FC and Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng FC, whom they had never won in the regular league matches this season.

Thus, their team spirit and display are in a good shape, with their commitment also high as they look to crown their first league championship this season.

The Blue Dragons have just crashed out of two big tournaments, with the two-time champions of Cambodia losing 9-5 on aggregate to Sanna Khanh Hoa BVN FC in the 2017 Toyota Mekong Club Championship first round and 4-2 in both legs to Nagaworld FC in the 2017 Hun Sen Cup semi-finals.

Hence, Coach Hao Socheat must rebuild his side’s team spirit and mentality ahead of the league play-off final clash with the Orange Armies.

The Orange Armies’ North Korean trio Choe Myong Ho, Kim Kyong Hun, and Ri Hyok Chol could be the nightmare for the Blue Dragons’ defenders with their pace, skills, and teamwork.

The Blue Dragons will play Electricite du Cambodge FC in the 2017 Hun Sen Cup in the battle for the third place on December 27th, 2017 three days before the league play-off finals, while the Orange Armies have no other fixtures till December 30th, 2017.

Therefore, the Orange Armies can have better and longer recovery time for their team ahead of their final clash of this season.
