Nagaworld skipper: We’ll do everything it takes to win doubles this season
2017 is a remarkable season for Nagaworld FC as they look to win doubles Hun Sen Cup and Metfone Cambodian League title for their first time in the club’s history.
Nagaworld FC reach the Hun Sen Cup finals after downing one of their top rival clubs, Boeung Ket FC, 4-2 on aggregate in the semi-finals at the National Olympic Stadium.

Coach Meas Channa’s side will meet the three-time Hun Sen Cup winner, Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng FC, in the finals on December 27th, 2017 after the Svay Rieng based club defeated Electricite du Cambodge FC 6-4 on aggregate in the semi-finals.
It is a busy year end for Nagaworld FC as they also play in the league play-off after the regular league season, with the 2015 C-league runners- up sitting in the third place.
Thus, they will face the fourth-placed Ministry of National Defense FC to earn a spot in the league play-off semi-finals against awaiting Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng FC, who are second in the C-league table, with the semi-final winners meeting Boeung Ket FC in the battle for the 2017 C-league title on December 30th, 2017.
With Nagaworld FC needing to overcome three top opponents to crown the C-league champions, skipper Kouch Sokumpheak explained that it is still a long way for his side to win doubles this season.
Kouch Sokumpheak told TheMorning via Messenger: “I think it’s not easy to challenge for the trophies, but we have a chance to win the Hun Sen Cup. It’s still a long and hard way to win the league title for Nagaworld FC, however, we will do everything it takes to win [both trophies].”
